PHP WordPress Developer

Job Description

Looking for an experienced WordPress engineer to join a dynamic team. As a Senior WordPress Developer, you will work with other team members such as UI Designers, Front-end Engineers to develop custom websites on WordPress platform for international clients. You’ll help with customization and maintenance of existing complex projects running millions of page views per month.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust WordPress websites and applications using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Customize and extend existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific project requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the design and development team to implement visually appealing website designs and seamless functionality.
• Optimize websites for exceptional performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Troubleshoot and debug website issues, bugs, and compatibility problems to ensure a smooth user experience.
• Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure cross-browser compatibility and seamless functionality across various devices.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in WordPress development.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in PHP development, with a strong focus on WordPress.
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Extensive knowledge of WordPress theme and plugin development, customization, and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of WordPress APIs, hooks, and filters.
• Solid grasp of responsive web design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience working with MySQL or other relational databases.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualification

• Professional Degree such as B.Tech/B.E, M.C.A, B.C.A.
